 Conjunctions and Adverb Clauses

 Homework 1 Complete the conversation with the correct word or words in parentheses.

Riina: Hi, Carlos! Are you going on a vacation this summer?
Carlos: Yes. I work a lot and my wife does (1) ______ (too / either). We look forward to our August vacation every year, (2) ____________ (even though / since) we never agree on where to go. (3) ______ (If / When) my wife chooses this year, we will go to Italy. She is learning to speak Italian, and she loves Italian food. I like these things too, (4) ______ (or / but) I want to spend my vacation hiking in the mountains.
Riina: Well, what about Sicily? It is beautiful there, (5) ______ (and / but) you can hike around Mt. Etna. Sicily is an island, but it is part of Italy. (6) ______ (Although / Since) they speak Italian, your wife can practice Italian there!

Combine the two sentences with the word in parentheses. Do not change the order. Use correct punctuation. Make any other necessary changes.           Example:
